DLTc-vent
The Wireless Value DLTC-vent measures temperature and relative humidity in locations in the greenhouse where direct solar radiation could otherwise distort the reading. Standard, non-ventilated climate sensors register a higher temperature than the actual air temperature when exposed to radiation. The DLTC-vent prevents this through three measures that work together: the housing, ventilation and filtering.
The white housing generates less heat than darker versions. A fan, powered by an integrated solar panel, continuously creates an airflow past the sensor element so that warming air is immediately carried away. Because the fan runs on solar power, it has no effect on the sensor's battery life. The air tunnel simply clicks onto the housing; the underside has space for a replaceable filter that keeps insects out.
